These crystals may look like authentic diamonds, rubies, or emeralds, but they are not and therefore they are instantly more affordable.
Just because rhinestone jewelry is not the real thing does not mean that it cannot last you for years. If you spend a bit of time taking good care of your pieces you can ensure that your jewelry will stay in great condition for many years. Typically, you will want to be sure that you actually take a soft cloth to wipe down each of your pieces after you have worn them to remove any sweat that had collected on the jewelry. By leaving that sweat on there, you may be putting the metal at risk of dulling. Be aware that you should not clean basic costume fashion jewelry with strong cleaning solutions. These can actually strip and dull the pieces.
After you have cleaned the pieces, you will want to store them properly. You should keep each piece in a separate velvet pouch or box to ensure that they are housed in a safe storage facility. Additionally, by storing them separately you can ensure that the delicate plating will not get scratched or chipped by rubbing against other pieces.
Costume fashion jewelry may not be the most expensive crystal jewelry, but it is no less beautiful than more expensive pieces. In fact, it has become quite popular due to the fact that you can have a very large collection of accessories for a much more affordable price. When you wear those pieces those around you will be hard pressed to ignore your style while not realizing that you got it with a bargain price tag attached. With a little effort and care, you can ensure that your collection will last you for years to come!
